The Contrasts and Effects are output on the calculation sheet if the design is orthogonal.  Matrex checks the orthogonality of the design - a property which can be destroyed if the user edits the factor levels in the design array (Sometimes it is necessary to edit the factor levels if a particular treatment has been run with "botched" settings).
